Hundreds of Carmel Valley residents attended a town hall meeting last night in an effort to address a recent spike in burglaries. Monterey County Sherriff’s Deputies addressed people at Tularicitos Elementary School saying that most of the burglaries are occurring during the week when people are at work, and that over half of the crime has taken place when doors and windows were left unlocked. Sheriff Scott Miller said more resources are to be expected along with undercover officers and aerial patrols to help mitigate the issue.
