a carmel high school freshman has taken home the grand prize from the annual monterey county science fair yesterday. ailis dooner was awarded the honor for her project in the pharmacology-toxicology senior division. dooner is now eligible to participate in the california state science fair in april, possibly then the intel international science and engineering fair in pittsburgh, pennsylvania.
