Carmel school officials have taken a student to court following allegations of violence. Leaders at Carmel River School have accused the 9-year-old of hitting, kicking, threatening and throwing rocks at students, faculty and staff. The district is now seeking to transfer the fourth-grader to a special needs school. The case has been taken to court after the student’s parents refused to cooperate. The district will seek a permanent injunction at a court hearing in June.
