MONTEREY COUNTY RESIDENTS ARE STILL SEEING BROWN WATER COMING OUT OF THEIR FAUCETS THIS WEE. A SPOKESPERSON FOR CAL-AM WATER SAYS ISSUES WITH EQUIPMENT AT AN IRON REMOVAL FACILITY IS AFFECTING THE WATER IN AREAS THROUGHOUT CARMEL VALLEY. THE WATER REPORTEDLY HAS AN INCREASED AMOUNT OF MINERAL IN IT BUT IS STILL SAFE TO DRINK. CAL-AM SUGGESTS THAT RESIDENTS MAY WANT TO HOLD OFF ON DOING LAUNDRY UNTIL THEIR WATER RETURNS TO A CLEAR COLORLESS APPEARANCE. MEANWHILE CREWS ARE WORKING ON FLUSHING LINES IN THE AREA.
