Carmel Allowing Outdoor Tasting 07-09-20 17:50 DC

The City of Carmel is allowing tasting rooms to move operations outside in an effort to keep businesses open after a new round of closures this week.

Under the new state health order, wineries and tasting rooms in Monterey County have been ordered to close indoor operations. The order also requires restaurants, brewpubs that serve food, and other businesses like movie theaters and museums to close their indoor spaces as well.

Because of this, businesses are taking operations outdoors. Outdoor tasting is being allowed on a temporary basis, for the three week closure or until indoor operations are allowed to resume.
