A couple was arrested in Capitola after being spotted in a stolen car yesterday. Around 8:20am, Capitola Police officers spotted Tyler Wengert and Brooke Mclean in a car at the McDonalds on 41st Avenue. Both were wanted on outstanding felony warrants. Wengert ran from the car when police tried to make contact and began jumping over fences to escape. He was eventually caught hopping a fence on Grace Street and found to be in possession of burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. The car was determined to be stolen, as were several items found inside. Wengert and Mclean were both arrested on multiple charges.
