A man accused of multiple car thefts in Seaside has been arrested. An investigation, into a stolen car chase on March 17th, identified 35 year old Michael Balesteri as the suspected driver. On March 27th , detectives observed Balesteri driving another car reported stolen from Seaside. Officers followed Balesteri until he parked the vehicle, he was then taken into custody. A search of Balesteri’s residence uncovered a counterfeiting operation, illegal narcotics, and stolen property. Balesteri was booked into Monterey County Jail.
