Deputies arrested two people following a car chase in Monterey County. The incident began early Thursday morning when the vehicle ran a stop sign at Castroville Boulevard and San Miguel Canyon Road. A patrol unit attempted to stop the vehicle and a chase ensued until the pursued vehicle lost control and crashed near Reese Circle and Prunedale South Road. 22 year old Zachary Filippazzo and 22-year-old passenger Ashley Fitzjohn were arrested and booked into Monterey county jail on multiple charges.
