Capitola police arrested two people in connection with a bike theft on Saturday. At about 1 p.m., 41st Avenue mall security reported that a $2,000 mountain bike theft captured on video identified a male suspect and female accomplice, and that the male had left a beach cruiser at the crime scene. investigators staked out the cruiser until shortly after 5 p.m. when the suspect returned to retrieve the bicycle, also found to be stolen. 29-year-old Zachary Daniels and 23-year-old Rachael Logan were booked into county jail on grand theft and conspiracy charges.
