Residents were evacuated from a Capitola apartment complex on Saturday night, after a fire spread to the building (on capitola avenue). The flames are believed to have spread from a car fire, which was burning in an adjacent carport. Fire crews were able to contain the blaze, at about 9 p.m. the cause is being investigated; no injuries were reported.
