The Capitola City Council approved this week a proposed amendment to allow rentals at a 41st Avenue development. The decision was unanimously approved yesterday for the Capitola Beach Villas after being rejected twice. After the initial proposal to raise the number of rentals from 8 to 49 on a 6-year interim basis was rejected in October, an amended proposal was submitted last month by the Complex’s management company. The added provisions are said to help ensure that after the 6-year term of the contract, the property would once again be mostly condominiums.
