A canoeing accident in the Lexington Reservoir left two men dead yesterday afternoon. Four people were in the canoe near Los Gatos when they capsized shortly after 1pm. A 16-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man were able to swim to shore, but two other men remained in the water. Less than an hour later, a 35-year old man was found, but pronounced dead at the hospital. The body of a 30-year-old was recovered around 5 pm. Investigations are being conducted into the cause of the accident, but authorities are considering high winds to be a factor.
