A fire broke out this afternoon on Cannery Row (in Monterey), forcing the evacuation of several businesses. The 3:30 blaze started in a computer tower in an office at The Wax Museum, located on the 700 block of Cannery Row. The flames were extinguished in about 10 minutes, and area businesses have since re-opened. No injuries have been reported.
