A Big Sur weed grower agreed to pay 100-thousand dollars to settle a lawsuit by the Monterey County district attorney.
According to the d-a, Justin Gregory Donnelly, lacked the proper local and state permits to operate his outdoor commercial grow and greenhouse on argyle road near king city. Agents destroyed over a thousand marijuana plants when they raided the grow operation in September of 20-17.
The d-a added he filed the lawsuit against Donnelly because it seemed like a good deterrent to illegal grow operations. It’s the first such lawsuit in Monterey county.
