an annual survey conducted by caltrain has been released, that shows more people in south santa clara county are riding the train than in previous years. ridership at the morgan hill station increased by 6.6 percent from 2011, and riders at the gilroy station increased by 2.6 percent. while caltrain has seen an increase in riders in south santa clara county, officials at caltrain would like to see more people riding the train. caltrain board members have said that a lack of trains in the area is a possible cause of low ridership.
