Today has been declared California Clean Air Day….and a variety of events are planned around the state to educate the public about reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and improving air quality in their communities. For its part, the City Of Santa Cruz will be partnering with Enviro-Teers and Ecology Action to plant 30 canopy oak trees on October 8th, and 45 trees on October 16th.
The trees will sequester carbon from the atmosphere, and provide shade for the community.
