Former Monterey County Supervisor, and longtime dairy owner, Lou Calcagno, has already spent $25,000 on improvements and repairs….designed to prevent future spills, and now he’s been fined $50,000 more in connection with a 2016 greenwaste spill from his Moon Glow Dairy on Dolan Road in North Monterey County. The spill went into the Moro Cojo Slough, which (along with being a Marine Protected Area), is a State Marine Reserve. The Moro Cojo Slough is just south of the Elkhorn Slough, off the south side of Dolan Road.
