CAL FIRE Units on the Central Coast have suspended a local burn ban following recent rain. Effective today, residents can conduct controlled burns with proper permits. All projects must be completed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The public is advised to visit the website of the Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District to ensure they are complying with local air quality rules regarding open burning.
