The Cabrillo College Gymnasium has been designated as a Red Cross evacuation center for evacuees of the CZU Lightning Complex Fire. Cabrillo’s Gymnasium is open for sleeping accommodations, and a parking lot has been designated for vehicle and RV parking. The full list of amenities at the Cabrillo College/Red Cross Evacuation Center includes:
• Vehicle and RV parking
• Restrooms and Showers
• Food
• Cots (indoor sleeping accommodations)
• Grey/black water pumping (starting Monday 8/24)
• Potable water delivery (starting Monday 8/24)
The Red Cross established a COIVD health screening check in station identifying three categories of people-
1. Cleared
2. At risk
3. Needing medical attention.
The ‘At Risk’ group will be isolated to quarantine facilities at the front of the Gymnasium.
