Cabrillo College has been seeing an increase in enrollment for this year’s summer session. That’s even after Cabrillo announced the intention to have the summer and fall sessions be on-line format semesters. Graduates of the Spring semester will be watching their graduation on-line tomorrow, instead of walking across the dais at Carl Connelly Stadium. It will be the college’s first virtual ceremony. The increased enrollment is being attributed (in part) to trends seen during every recession: “people facing job loss (in an ailing economy) are looking to re-tool their careers, or launch new ones”.
