The State of California wants to administer COVID-19 vaccines to 1 million more people over the next 10 days.
Acting state health officer Dr. Erica Pan said “I think we are clearly recognizing that we need to accelerate our administration of vaccines in California and nationwide,”
Pan’s update at the start of a virtual meeting of a state panel tasked with planning the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines came just before the state reported 530,376 vaccine doses had been administered in California, as of Wednesday.
More than 2 million doses have now been delivered to local health departments and health care systems, the CDPH also said.
