The California supreme court has agreed to hear a foreclosure case that originated in santa cruz county. the 2009 case, biancalana v. T-D Service company involved the purchase of a property at a foreclosure auction. The plaintiff, David Biancalana, later disputed the sale, because he said the opening bid was wrongfully set too low. A santa cruz county judge ruled in favor of the buyer of the property, and defendant in the case, T.D. service company. That ruling was later overturned on appeal, and an appeal to the state supreme court has been successful.
