CALIFORNIA OFFICIALS HAVE RELEASED A SURVEY REVEALING INCREASED WATER USAGE DESPITE THE DROUGHT. THE STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD RELEASED RESULTS SHOWING A 1% RISE IN CONSUMPTION AFTER GOVERNOR JERRY BROWN CALLED FOR A 20% CUTBACK. THE BOARD HAS APPROVED IMPOSING FINES OF UP TO $500 FOR PEOPLE WHO WASTE THE RESOURCE ON LANDSCAPING, WASHING VEHICLES AND OTHER OUTDOOR USES.
