ACCORDING TO THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL, OFFICERS BRIAN LAW AND JUAN GONZALEZ OF FRESNO WERE KILLED YESTERDAY (MON) MORNING IN THE LINE OF DUTY WHILE RESPONDING TO REPORTS OF A CRASH ON HIGHWAY 99 JUST SOUTH OF FRESNO. THE OFFICERS REPORTEDLY HAD TO SWERVED TO AVOID A PEDESTRIAN ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THEIR VEHICLE HIT A GUARDRAIL AND ROLLED OVER. THIS HAS PROMPTED LOCAL C-H-P OFFICIALS TO REMIND CENTRAL COAST MOTORISTS ABOUT THE IMPORTANT OF LISTENING FOR AND YIELDING TO FIRST RESPONDERS LIKE C-H-P, FIRE TRUCKS, AND AMBULANCES, AS WELL AS EXITING THE ROADWAY WHENEVER POSSIBLE AFTER AN ACCIDENT.
