A Salinas man has been sentenced for a 2016 crime spree. 35 year old Ramon Bernal was convicted in January for car break ins and burglaries that included brandishing a knife when confronted by victims. Bernal’s crimes included stealing children’s’ piggy banks and entire families christmas presents as well as using his own child as a decoy. The convictions were his 3rd and 4th criminal strikes. On Friday a judge ordered him to spend 85 years to life behind bars.
