A MAN, WHO WAS INITIALLY ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE ATTACK OF BRYAN STOW OUTSIDE OF LAST YEAR’S OPENING GAME AT DODGER STADIUM, IS NOW SUING THE LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE CHIEF CHARLIE BECK FOR “DEFAMATION”. ALTHOUGH ARRESTED, GIOVANNI RAMIREZ WAS LATER CLEARED OF HAVING PARTICIPATED IN THE BEATING….ALTHOUGH HE WAS SENTENCED TO SPEND 10 MONTHS BEHIND BARS FOR BEING A FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM.
LOUIE SANCHEZ AND MARVIN NORWOOD WERE LATER ARRESTED IN THIS CASE. THEY HAVE PLEADED “NOT GUILTY” TO BEATING BRYAN STOW. STOW, WHO WAS A PARAMEDIC, SUFFERED BRAIN DAMAGE IN THAT BEATING, AND IS PERMANENTLY DISABLED AS A RESULT.
