Brother Patrick Dunne, who spent more than 3 decades serving as the principal and president of Palma High School in Salinas passed away in his sleep this week. Although he had retired from being the school’s president last summer, he was still a well loved and popular figure on campus….and regularly turned out for sporting events there. He was also still teaching a driver’s education class…which he did Tuesday after noon prior to passing away that night. He was 75 years-old. A Moment Of Silence will be held for Brother Patrick Dunne this evening before the Palma/Salinas High School game….and again tomorrow for the central coast track and field invitational at Palma. A mass and celebration of his life is now scheduled to be held at Palma next week.
