A woman, who has helped administer the Downtown Streets Team In Santa Cruz since it’s 2017 arrival, will take on the role of “Homelessness Response Manager” for the city of Santa Cruz. Brooke Newman also serves on the Community Advisory Commission On Homelessness and the Commission For The Prevention Of Violence Against Women. Newman will be in charge of inter-agency coordination (from within the city manager’s office).
