The former owner of the Brookdale Lodge on Highway 9 in Brookdale was sentenced Monday to 4 years in prison and ordered to pay 4.2 million dollars in restitution. Sanjiv Kakkar was convicted of wire fraud last fall. Kakkar was ordered to report to prison by June 22, to begin serving his sentence.
