An attempted break in at the santa cruz county government building was thwarted by county employees. A man and woman were trying to break a window on the first floor of the building, when they were spotted. Employees inside called 9-1-1 as the 2 suspects, along with a lookout, fled. The 6:30 p.m. incident is under investigation. No damage was ultimately sustained by the building.
