Board members of the boulder creek parks and recreation district have voted unanimously to re-apply for a 5-million dollar state grant. The grant towards replacing the current rec center on highway-9 and middleton avenue, with an expanded one on a plot of land in south boulder creek. The unanimous vote to re-apply for the grant money was taken on Saturday. Board members also approved a budget for the coming year, of 213-thousand dollars. Board members are still accepting applications until thursday, to fill the district’s general manager position.
