Officials with the boulder creek recreation and park district are considering options for modifying a dam in Barbara day park. Officials commissioned a study of the dam in 2004, and are now addressing what could be done with the dam (now that renovation work on nearby garrahan park is complete). Options include modifying the dam’s fish ladder to allow more access for steelhead and other fish…creating a seasonal swimming hole…or removing the dam. a final decision is not expected until next year.
