A Salinas school will be changing names soon. Bolsa Knolls Middle School will soon be called John Gutierrez Middle School. That’s in honor of the educator who helped open the school 11 years ago. Gutierrez passed away last October, after contracting Covid-19. A community meeting is being held by the District on Friday May 28th, to give the public a chance to celebrate the life of John Gutierrez.
