A BODY WAS FOUND FOLLOWING AN EARLY MORNING FIRE IN WATSONVILLE ON FRIDAY. FIRE CREWS RESPONDED TO A 2:30 A-M CALL ON THE 1 HUNDRED BLOCK OF PIONEER ROAD. IT TOOK FIREFIGHTERS UNTIL AFTER 4 A-M TO EXTINGUISH THE 2 STORY BARN THAT HAD BEEN CONVERTED TO A RESIDENCE. FIRE INVESTIGATORS FOUND THE REMAINS OF CHARRED MALE BODY SIFTING THROUGH THE ASHES. THE REMAINS WERE TURNED OVER TO THE CORONERS OFFICE. THE FIRE DOES NOT APPEAR SUSPICIOUS; HOWEVER OFFICIALS SAY THE BUILDING WAS NOT APPROVED AS A RESIDENCE.
