The body found yesterday in the 24-thousand block of Soquel San Jose Road has been identified as that of 50-year-old Tushar Atre, had been kidnapped from his home on Pleasure Point Drive.
Sheriff’s investigators say he was last seen leaving the area in a White 2008 BMW SUV.
Later Tuesday, deputies found the 2008 BMW and the dead body nearby. It has since been identified as that of Atre.
The investigation is still ongoing, but investigators say they have reason to believe the motive was robbery. They add this appears to be an isolated incident.
