A BOBCAT, BELIEVED TO BE POISONED BY RODENTICIDE, WAS RESCUED IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY WEDNESDAY. MOSS LANDING-BASED WILDLIFE EMERGENCY SERVICES RUSHED THE SICKENED ANIMAL TO A WILDLIFE HOSPITAL IN SAN JOSE, BECAUSE THERE ARE NO WILDLIFE CENTERS (OR VETERINARIANS) THAT TREAT ADULT PREDATOR ANIMALS IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY. THE BOBCAT MOTHER SHOWED TYPICAL SIGNS OF ANTI-COAGULANT RODENTICIDE POISONING, POSSIBLY FROM CONSUMING A POISONED RODENT.
