THE ALL VOLUNTEER COAST GUARD AUXILIARY ASSISTS THE COAST GUARD WITH SAFETY PATROLS ON THE BAY. THEY ALSO OFFER FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL BOAT INSPECTIONS AND EQUIPMENT COMPLIANCE. ANOTHER SERVICE THEY PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH IS OFFERING CLASSES TWICE ANNUALLY. CURSES OFFERED ARE Boating Skills and Seamanship, Sailing Skills and Seamanship, and Coastal Navigation Classes. Registration for Coast Guard Auxiliary Seamanship Courses will take place from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday, September 5, in the Santa Cruz Harbor Public Meeting Room.
