a fire that destroyed a ben lomond home and killed 2 dogs on monday night appears to have started in connection with a MARIJUANA grow on the bottom floor. firefighters responded to the arenosa lane blaze at about 11 p.m., before extinguishing the fire at about 3:30 a.m. the next day. investigators found several dozen burned marijuana plants on the ground floor of the home as well as some intact plants and a crowded irrigation and electrical system. the incident is still under investigation.
