Blackie road at highway-101, in Monterey county, is set to close Tuesday, for the next 2-months. Roadwork is being done to install a new box culvert underneath the road. The culvert is needed to channel water from Prunedale creek. Crews from granite construction, m.c.m. construction, and Cal-trans decided to close the road for 2-months, rather than have temporary closures for 6-months. A detour will be set up in the area.
