The public’s assistance is being sought in identifying the person, or people, who vandalized the Bixby Bridge parking lot. The person, or people, painted the words “Overtourism Is Killing Big Sur”. A group know as “Take Back Big Sur” took responsibility for recently hanging a sign from the Bixby Bridge with those words on it….but they say they are not responsible for the parking lot vandalism. A spokesperson for the C.H.P. says that it will cost about $1,700 to clean off the paint.
