Kudos this morning to firefighters in Big Sur, who successfully snuffed out a fire before it got out of control.
The blaze broke out last nite at highway one and Ventana. Guests at the Ventana resort were evacuated as a precaution. Firefighters were able to get an upper hand on the fire quickly and it only grew to one acre.
Crews remain on scene to make sure there are no flare ups.
