A Salinas woman was killed in a solo car crash in Big Sur yesterday. according to the CHP, the accident happened shortly after 9 a.m. when the victim’s vehicle veered off of Highway 1 near Post Ranch Road and hit a guardrail before flipping over. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but say the victim was not wearing a seat belt.
