A bicyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Santa Cruz Thursday evening. The male rider was on Highway 9 near Encinal Street at about 8 p-m when he was hit. The motorist remained at the scene, while the victim was transported to trauma center in stable condition. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
