Plans have been abandoned to build a new Christian school on the site occupied by now-closed Bethany university. Officials with the northern California-nevada district of the assemblies of god were in negotiations to sell The 70-acre scotts valley campus to an investment group for 17-point-5 million dollars. the group had plans to open a new school called the international Christian university of strategic studies. However, the group has withdrawn the offer.
