Democratic Assemblyman luis alejo has a new challenger for his seat. Hollister resident rob bernosky has announced that he will again run for the seat, to represent the 28th assembly district. Bernosky is a republican, who was defeated by alejo in 2010. That election marked the beginning of alejo’s first term in the statehouse. the district has since been redrawn to include portions of south san jose; it extends down through the salinas valley.
