The Boulder Creek man accused of starting the Bear Fire was sentenced Thursday. Marlon Coy was sentenced to 27 years and 4 months in prison. He will also have to pay restitution of $2.7 million. The trial heard some lurid testimony.
The Bear Fire burned nearly 400 acres in the Santa Cruz mountains. Authorities Cou started the October 2017 blaze after a dispute with someone at a home on Dianes Way.
