(6:40) Santa Cruz County – Cal Fire reported that as of yesterday the Bear Fire is 100 percent contained. The Bear Fire began the night of October 16th in the area of Bear Canyon and Deer Creek Roads, in Boulder Creek. The fire burned 391 acres, caused the evacuations of hundreds of mountain residents and led to several firefighter injuries. Sheriff’s detectives and Cal Fire investigators will be holding a press release today at 11:30 am for a briefing on the results of the Bear Fire initial criminal investigation.
