Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Boulder Creek man for multiple charges on Friday. Deputies accompanied a property owner to a vacant home after neighbors alerted the owner of possible squatters. At the dwelling police found 54 year old Derek Solus watching television. Solus was found to be in possession of multiple loaded firearms, ammunition, body armor, and drug paraphernalia. At least one of the weapons had been reported stolen. Solus was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
