the monterey county bomb squad responded to a home wednesday afternoon after a live grenade was found. an estate sale cleaning service found a 1940’s era bazooka rocket grenade in a garage cabinet at a home on 17 mile drive. surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution. the grenade was removed from the scene without incident.
