The Central Coast has lost a legend.
Jack Baskin passed away Sunday at his home in Carmel… he was 100 years old.
Baskin was the founder of the U-C Santa Cruz Baskin school of engineering… and he championed the effort to build affordable housing through out the region.
Mr. Baskin donated more than 10-million dollars to UCSC over the years and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He also supported engineering programs and women’s studies at Cabrillo College.
